Reflections on Career Development Planning for Vocational College Students from a Positive Psychology Perspective

Abstract—In the current era of vigorous vocational education development, positive psychology—as a significant psychological discipline studying human positive psychological qualities and emotions—offers fresh perspectives and approaches for career development planning among vocational college students. Based on this, this paper focuses on the career development of vocational college students. By analyzing the fundamental concepts of positive psychology, it further discusses the significant role of positive psychology in career planning for vocational college students. Addressing existing issues in current career planning for these students, the paper proposes strategies to promote scientific and rational career planning for vocational college students based on the principles of positive psychology. The aim is to leverage the value of positive psychology to help students cultivate a positive career mindset, enhance their career awareness and competitiveness, and achieve the organic integration of personal value and social value. The specific content is as follows.
