Abstract—This study, based on the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) philosophy, explores the application strategies of Chinese traditional culture picture books in elementary school art education. The aim is to broaden new educational perspectives, promote the integration of aesthetic and moral education, and help students fasten the first button of socialist education. Through teacher training programs, innovative teaching models, and the construction of a diversified evaluation system, combined with experimental class teaching practices, this study analyzes the impact of traditional culture picture books on students' interest in art learning, understanding of traditional culture, and art skills. The research findings indicate that this teaching model significantly enhances students' learning interest and cultural identity, providing practical references for integrating elementary school art courses with traditional culture.
